Coolum Peregian Swim Club
Swim clubs open up a world of possibilities for swimmers of all abilities. Whether you're just starting out, training more seriously, or looking for a way to compete, a swim club is the perfect way to take your swimming to the next level in a supportive environment.
Coolum Peregian Swim Club is an affiliated club of Swimming Queensland and and Division 1 club within the Wide Bay Swimming Region. Past members of CPSC include Olympians Jake Packard and Kareena Lee. In 2018/2019 season we won the Small Clubs Division - the first time in the club's history!
Every year we seek to build on the foundation set from the year before, and continue to grow as a club.
Coolum Peregian Swim Club and Swim Fit
Coolum Peregian Swim Club and Swim Fit both operate at the Coolum Aquatic Centre, which offers a range of facilities for year round swimming. Swim Fit operate a comprehensive program that develops swimmers from beginner to competitive. Swimmers start in the Learn to Swim program and once they have graduated through the Learn to Swim levels they are ready for the Swim Fit squad program.
The squad program is where our club swimmers develop and improve as athletes under the expert eye of Head Coach Jack Hawke. The CPSC swimmers all complete their weekly training in the Swim Fit squad program and compete at local, regional and state meets for the CPSC.
Head Coach
Head Coach Jack Hawke started with CPSC in 2018. Following a move from Sydney, he was recruited by Swim Fit Coolum as the Head Coach of their squad program. He also agreed to take on the role of Head Coach with the CPSC. This continuity across the squad program and swim club has created a powerful environment for both the competitive athlete and enthusiastic swimmer.
Jack has extensive experience in all types of swimming and has competed at high levels across multiple sports. Jack is dedicated to developing the whole athlete and believes in working with each athlete to set goals and create individual training plans.
